A civil court judge sided with defense attorneys Wednesday in their motion to dismiss a complaint in civil suit filed against their clients, the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and five members of the fraternity who were charged in the hazing of a Florida A&M University student in 2006.

A new kiosk in the Oglesby Union, which opened in April, offers DVD rentals to students 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The kiosk is owned and operated by Florida State University student Carlos Gaviria, an entrepreneurship major.

"I've been wanting to start a business ever since I got here to FSU, particularly an on-campus business, because that way I can have my business on campus while I'm at school," said Gaviria.

The Florida State baseball team has always been one of the best teams in the nation under Mike Martin in regards to recruiting. To the surprise of nobody, Martin's 2008 class is no different.

The Seminoles have the second-best recruiting class in the nation according to Collegiate Baseball and will welcome in 20 newcomers to the team that includes 11 pitchers of which four are left-handed, four infielders, three outfielders and three catchers.

The Southern Association for Colleges and Schools (SACS) Thursday lifted the probation of Florida A&M University and reinstated their accreditation.

During its annual meeting, SACS removed FAMU from probation and requested no further reports.

"We have been able to solve and address the critical issues that threatened the very existence of this university," said FAMU President James H.

The University of Abuja and Florida A&M University signed a memorandum of agreement Friday morning to broaden and further expand cultural boundaries between the two university.

College should be a place of higher education that challenges your mind and opinions on life. While this is true for other institutions such as Georgia Tech and UGA, however, it does not apply to ABAC.

In college level classes, there is supposed to be debate between the professors and the students, yet in a class at ABAC you will find students not participating in discussions and making up excuses on why their papers are not turned in on the due date.
