This past February, Larry King was shot by fellow classmate, Brandon McInerney. No, not the famous TV personality, but an 8th grade homosexual boy in California.

Because the adopted parents of Larry K. have recently filed a lawsuit against the E.O Green Junior High, the tragedy has surfaced to the top of the media once again.

A new school year and a new class of freshmen have invaded campus. I feel obligated to give some advice to the new faces to college, Carrollton, and UWG.

The long-awaited sushi bar on the third floor of the UCC opened for business last week. Sushi is always hit or miss. Students are charging their peers too much for ticketsI'd like to say how appalled I am by the way University students are treating each other when it comes to tickets. I defend this University as if I were its president or founder. The University is my home, and I have never said one foul thing about anything involved with this school.

I never thought Nelson, the cutoffs-and-

vest-wearing bully from The Simpsons, would point his finger in my direction, delivering his famous guffaw. But there he was, in all his celluloid glory, mocking my very future. "Ha ha, your medium is dying!" he shouted at a print journalist from The Washington Post.

Wednesday, the "Our Take" section of the editorial page ran a piece titled "Religious Refuge" commenting on the work of a lesbian minister at a local church. The opinion included the line, "The Red & Black editorial board commends [Rev.] DuBose for her brave efforts toward acceptance, or tolerance at the very least, in the local community.
